Pen-Pen, Misato's warm-water penguin

Age:  Somewhere between 2 to 3 years probably

TV SERIES:  Pen-Pen is Misato's first roomate in Japan.  He is a warm water penguin that likes his water warm just as much as cold, meaning that he was a failed experiment.  When the people who made him tried to put him to sleep Misato rescued him.  Pen-Pen manages to scare the hell out of Shinji in the first genesis.  This special penguin eats fish for breakfast but at other times ends up eating leftovers of the dinner that Misato cooks.  He also drinks beer.  By the end of the series the Horaki family (Hikari's) takes him in because it is not safe for Pen-Pen in Tokyo-3 anymore.

MANGA:  Pen-Pen is still the penguin that belongs to Misato in the manga, however he is very greedy and often steals food from either Shinji or Misato.

Hikari Horaki, the Class Representative

Age:  14

Blood Type: Unknown

Grade: 8

TV SERIES:  Hikari is Asuka's best friend.  She likes Touji a lot and she is called the "Class rep.".  Hikari has two sisters and makes lunch for both of them, but often makes too much lunch (and uses this to get Touji).  Well, she doesn't REALLY make too much lunch, she makes lunch for him too and pretends she made too much.  :)  Her family is the one that takes Pen-Pen in, and Pen-Pen seems to like her a lot too.  :).  Hikari lets Asuka stay at her house while Asuka is depressed in the twelfth genesis.  Hikari is a happy character but she is involved with one of the saddest Evangelion moments, when she is humming fly me to the moon and making Touji's lunch just before Evangelion Unit-03 goes insane because of Bardiel and is ripped apart.  Poor Hikari!

Kensuke Aida, Shinji's classmate

Age: 14

Blood Type: Unknown

Grade: 8

TV SERIES:  Kensuke is Shinji's classmate.  He wants to be an EVA pilot but never becomes one.  His only friend until Shinji arrives is Touji Suzahara.  He often goes out on little expeditions by himself and plays war alone in rice fields.  Kensuke moves away from the city by the 12th genesis because Tokyo-3 is becoming more and more dangerous every day.

MANGA:  Kensuke is the psycho military man that he is in the TV series, one difference however is that in the manga he is in love with Asuka, whereas in the television series he seems to hate her.

Yui Ikari, Scientist at Gehirn

Age: 27 when she died

Blood Type: Unknown

TV SERIES:  Yui Ikari is the mother of the Pilot of Evangelion Unit-01, Shinji Ikari.  Her soul is the one that was sucked into Evangelion Unit-01 in the year 2004.  She was very smart and when in a University her professor was Kouzou Fuyutsuki.  Yui has ties with SEELE.

Naoko Akagi, Scientist at Gehirn

Age: Unknown

Blood type: Unknown

TV SERIES:  Naoko is Ritsuko's mother.  She is a scientist at Gehirn and often ignored her daughter.  She also kills Rei I.  After killing the first Rei ever created she jumped over a railing and ended up cracking her head open on the MAGI and dying.  Note:  Naoko is NOT in the MAGI.  She created the MAGI and placed her personality into it but her soul and being is not within it.

Lorenz Keel, Head of SEELE

Age:  Immortal

Blood Type: Unknown

TV SERIES:  Keel is the head of SEELE.  He seeks to cause a constructive 3rd Impact because he is immortal and 3rd Impact is the only way he can die.  He may also have intentions to become God, I'm not sure about that though.  If you have anymore information on Lorenz Keel, please e-mail me.  Oh and some people seem to think he might be the Wandering Jew who spit on Christ and was doomed to live forever, but I don't think there is any proof of that (works out though).
