Evangelion Unit-03

Designated Pilot:  Touji Suzahara, the Fourth Child

Soul:  Unknown, but trust me it is not Touji's sister, she is alive and sane.  Unit-03 may not have a soul (see my soul explanation section)

About Unit-03:  Unit-03 was made in America.

Role in the series:  It was taken over by an Angel in the first minute it was on screen, and while Touji was trying to synchronize with it the Angel took full control over it and blew up the testing facility, injuring and/or killing many American and Japanese NERV Personell, Major Misato Katsuragi and Doctor Ritsuko Akagi included.  A tri-attack was formed, with Evangelion Units -01, -02, and -00 attacking, but Unit-02 and -00 were brought down quickly, Asuka because she hadn't seen Eva-03 (now reclassified as the 13th Angel, Bardiel) coming.  Evangelion Unit-00 and its Pilot, Rei Ayanami, failed because of Rei's reluctance to kill the Pilot who still resided inside Eva Unit-03.  Because of the Third Child's aversion to killing people, NERV's Supreme Commander, Gendo Ikari, activated the Dummy Plug System, and Evangelion Unit-01 destroyed Eva-03.  The Pilot of Eva-03 was in critical condition, and the Angel was destroyed.

Role in End of Evangelion:  Evangelion Unit-03 had no role in EoE because it was destroyed in the TV Series.
